RADIATOR DRAIN PLUG

Radiator drain plug is a plug on the bottom of radiator.They have a lot of types and materials which meet different requirement of radiators.The function of radiator drain plug is helping to drain out old coolant and add new coolant.If your radiator drain plug is damaged or worn, the radiator may leak, causing the radiator to overheat.It is not difficult for user to change radiator drain plug.Even you are a beginner,you could also finish to replace radiator drain plug by yourself.
 

How to replace radiator drain plug

1. Use a hydraulic jack to raise the front of the car.Put the jack bracket on the bottom to fix the vehicle.
2. The radiator drain plug usually on the bottom of radiator.So try to find the radiator drain plug of the car.Put the bucket under the radiator drain plug.
3. Use a socket wrench to remove the drain plug.Carefully insert the drain plug of the new radiator and thread it.
4. Remove the jack bracket from under the car, and then put down the car.
5. Open the cover on the top of the radiator.With the help of the funnel, only 1/4 of the coolant is poured back into the radiator. Wait five minutes.Check the radiator drain plug for signs of leakage.
6. Turn the engine and let it run for five minutes. When doing so, please check whether the drain plug of the radiator leaks.
